Uses / Indications: Glizid 40mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Alcohol intake may increase or decrease the blood sugar lowering action in an unpredictable way

Pregnancy interaction: Glizid 40mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice: Helps decrease high blood sugar level and avoids long-term complications of diabetes. Take just before or with the first main meal of the day (usually breakfast). Avoid skipping meals. Glizid commonly causes hypoglycemia and weight gain while teneligliptin causes headache and nasopharyngitis.
